Sprouting - Dr. Harvey Lisle

Fast forward to 2005. I began to be a student of Rudolph Steiner and learned and practiced (and still do practice) biodynamic gardening. I was reading one of his lectures where he claimed that the flower was a male organ. There are no female parts to a flower. For all of these years, I was under the impression that pollenization was the union of the male and female. When the pollen from the stamens was carried by the wind or insects to the pistil, then the union had taken place. That belief was in error. The resulting seed is all male. There are no female parts to a seed. Then the ultimate question arises: where does the female come in and when? The female is mother earth. Fertilization takes place when the seed is planted in the earth. Now the truth emerges.

SproutsNow I know what the problem was with the sprouts. Seeds placed in a sprouting jar do not get the female fertilizing forces of mother earth. They must be in contact with the earth when they receive the earth forces. There are earth forces and as a dowser I am able to feel them. The seeds respond to the earth and sun forces, sprout and grow.

It is important to realize that everything which takes place in nature is based upon polarities. To name a few of the more commonly known polarities: male-female, night-day, summer-winter, mountains-valleys, wet-dry. I have already referred to the sun-earth polarity and in the same vein, there is the earth-moon polarity. The sun-earth polarity is the correct polarity for plants and is associated with organic plants. Unfortunately, the earth-moon polarity arises too often and is associated with chemical plants. The moon acts through water as demonstrated by the effect of the moon on the tides. All of the chemical fertilizers are oil soluble while the organic fertilizer are water soluble.

This answers many questions. Seeds don't have to be placed in the earth to sprout and grow. They will sprout in water and grow into chemical plants. In this case the earth-moon polarity has taken over. Another question is answered: why did the sprouts raised to feed the cows fail to give credible results. It likewise answers the question why have the spouts raised to feed people given poor results? Other questions not necessarily related to sprouts are answered. Chemical crops and individual items such as tomatoes and apples are larger than their organic counterparts because of the extra wear that they carry. Hydroponically raised food is obviously chemical. Sprout plants started out chemically (in jars) are chemical the rest of their lives even though transplanted into good organic soil, so if you buy some plants which have been started out under the earth-moon polarity and transplant them into your organic garden, you will be raising chemical plants.

Here is some information which will help in preparing sprouts or starting young plants in potting soil. Instead of taking the seeds to the sun-earth forces, you can bring the sun-earth forces into your kitchen or other convenient locations. There is an electrical code in force whereby every house has to have the proper grounding which consists of a ground rod driven into the earth outside of your house, connected to a heavy copper wire which goes to the fuse box in your house and from there by ground wire to all wall sockets, electrical appliances and light fixtures in your house. There is more than one purpose to the grounding system but one purpose is to protect you from a shock if something goes wrong in any of your appliances or lights. It rarely happens but there are cases where a person was electrocuted in his own house.

What is unknown, even by the electrical companies which supply the power, is that the sun-earth forces are active in this system. To utilize this to your advantage in growing sprouts or raising young plants in potting soil, purchase a wall plug which has three prongs. Connect a braided copper wire to the long prong which connects to the grounding system. Plug it in. You can then place your sprouting jars or potting soil with its seeds on top of this wire and thereby the seeds are placed in contact with Mother Earth and you are in business.

I utilize sprouts in nearly every meal I eat. I make my own sprouted wheat bread which I consider my number one food item. The wheat berries go into an earthen bowl which I then set on the grounded copper wire. The copper wire carries the sun-earth forces which my sprouts pick up.

If I have given you the impression that sprouts are a poor food, that is true only for the earth-moon sprouts. Sprouts made with the sun-earth forces are an excellent food. I can bear testimony to that with my own experience. I am ninety years old, read without glasses, in good health, have no arthritis, and drive my own car anywhere I wish to go anytime, day or night.

[Editor's Note: PLEASE be very careful when working with electrical outlets! You might seriously injure yourself if you make a mistake. When Dr. Lisle refers to the "long prong" he means the round grounding prong, found in North American AC power. IF you do try this at home, be very careful that the braided wire does not touch either of the other two prongs on the outlet. Touch the wrong one and you'll blow a breaker, melt the wire, and/or shock yourself, perhaps seriously.

Unless you really know what you're doing, I recommend that you find a professional to do the electrical work for you. - Jim Carey]
