Last year I decided to "Go Green" with the Dr. Ann Wigmore Raw Living Foods® Lifestyle Study Program. So I set up an entirely new website, RawLife.org.
I converted all of the books, CDs and DVDs to digital, online delivery content. It was quite a project; there's about 60 hours of video, several online manuals and two Dr. Ann Wigmore audio books.
The content is measured in Terabytes (TB). One TB = 1,000 gigabytes, or several times the size of an average hard disk drive.
It was so big, in fact, that I had to buy a hosting service to have enough storage, not to mention the bandwidth required to deliver that much video to hundreds of people simultaneously. So last year I bought a premium hosting service on the Internet Backbone as part of this project (translation: it's fast).
By August RawLife.org was up and running. It was instantly popular - real popular. What people appreciate the most is how well-organized it is, and how easy it is to find the exact material you're looking for with the search feature. Check it out at RawLife.org.
It was so popular, in fact, that I thought we could discontinue the physical DVDs, CDs and books of the traditional Home Study Program. So when we ran out last month, I didn't reorder.
THAT WAS A BIG MISTAKE!
I'd misjudged what you folks want. I know you're a high-tech audience. I've done surveys of the newsletter readers and Home Study Students, and I know your market demographics. The vast majority of you have no problem downloading and viewing streaming video.
What you don't want to do, however, is replace your DVDs and TVs with a computer screen.
Boy, did I get the calls and emails. Yes, you're right - it IS easier and more convenient to pop a DVD into the player in any room of the house, and to jump to a particular place in the video when you've seen it before.
Now, mark my words, in a couple more years your computer is going to replace your TV for entertainment and news.
But you guys are right - that day isn't here yet.
So I've reordered the Home Study Program on DVD.
As a "green compromise" I've put all of the handbooks, manuals and recipe books on CD so they're easily transferred to your iPod, Kindle or whatever, and you can quickly search for the specific item you're looking for.
Thus, the Dr. Ann Wigmore Raw Living Foods® Lifestyle Home Study Program is available on DVD again. Buy it all at once and you'll have something like 47 DVDs and over a dozen CDs in your instant raw living foods library. That's six months to two years of educational and motivational material, and a great way to share with others or teach raw living food classes.
I've also split it up into segments so that you can acquire it over time, and I've added monthly payment options, too.
