Good New for Good Fats
If you have been keeping up with the nutrition news, you have heard how important Omega-3 oil is for us. In fact, with all the grains we eat, we don't get nearly enough Omega-3s. That creates all kinds of health issues.
Now, however, new research seems to show that fish oils (rich in Omega-3) may actually help reduce tumors. Researchers from Egypt and Britain have published an article in Cell Division magazine which indicates they have evidence to support that theory. This information adds to the research here in the United States.
In March, U.S. researchers showed that a diet high in omega 3 fatty acids -- the kind found in fish such as salmon, mackerel, herring and sardines -- protected against advanced prostate cancer even in men more at risk from the disease. The fatty acids, also found in foods such as walnuts and leafy greens, have been shown to provide an anti-inflammatory effect and have been linked to a lower risk of heart disease.
And the best part of all is that Omega-3 fatty acids (essential fatty acids) are an integral part of the Life Energy Pyramid©. Good news for those of you who know they can be their own raw food doctors!
